Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt got engaged over Christmas holiday
Sean Hannity celebrated the holidays by popping the ask to fellow host Ainsley Earhardt.
The cable-TV anchors got engaged over the Christmas holiday, the couple revealed to their employer, Fox News, in an interview Thursday.
Hannity, 62, proposed to the "Fox & Friends" host at their home church, a reflection of the mutual faith that brought the lovebirds together. The couple said they got the blessing of their children, who "couldn't be happier" for them.
"We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this marvelous time in our lives," the couple, who own been dating privately for several years, told Fox.
Earhardt, 48, is based in New York, while the conservative talk radio present host notably moved to "the free state of Florida" from New York earlier this year. Fox noted both have long-term deals to stay with the network and will continue to work from their respective states.
Hannity was previously married to Jill Rhodes from 1993 to 2019, and has two children — a son and daughter — from the relationship. Earhardt was previously married to
NEW YORK -- Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel apologized to those in the gay society who took offense to a joke he made in the middle of an ongoing feud with Fox News host Sean Hannity. "I most certainly did not plan to belittle or upset members of the gay society and to those who took offense, I apologize," the host of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" said in a statement Sunday.
Kimmel had come under flame during an Twitter exchange with Hannity in which he encouraged Hannity to "get back on top." Many users called the comment homophobic.
"Stop making sh---y f----g gay jokes. Hire me to write you improve gay jokes. Hire any queer person to write you literally any other jokes," one user wrote.
In his utterance, Kimmel admitted he enjoyed the back-and-forth but the "level of vitriol from all sides" turned out to be harmful.
The feud began last week after Kimmel made entertaining of first lady Melania Trump's accent when she interpret books to children at the Light House Easter Egg Roll. Hannity attacked Kimmel on his Fox News program and vowed to keep at it until Kimmel issued the first lady an apology.

"I most certainly did not plan to belittle or upset members of the gay community," Kimmel wrote in a statement on Sunday after a week-long spat.
The dispute began when Hannity criticised Kimmel for mocking First Lady Melania Trump's accent.
The two then quarrelled on Twitter and on television for days.
During his programme, Hannity slammed the host of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! after Kimmel joked about Mrs Trump's reading of a children's book during Easter celebrations at the White House.
Hannity called him a "despicable disgrace" and an "ass clown" and insulted his previous programme on the Comedy Central network, The Man Show.
Kimmel responded using similar language, telling the host of Hannity: "If I'm an ass clown... you are the whole ass circus".
The spat continued on Twitter, where in one sexually suggestive tweet on Friday, Kimmel mocked Hannity's devotion to US President Donald Trump.
