A gay rights group is calling for the ousting of CNN analyst Roland Martin after they said the news host posted offensive Tweets about an H&M underwear ad during the Super Bowl.

According to a story posted on Richard Prince’s “Journal-isms” blog, Martin had been tweeting throughout the game, but caught heat when he bashed an H&M underwear commercial that featured soccer actor David Beckham.

“Ain’t no real bruhs going to H&M to buy some damn David Beckham underwear!” He wrote. “And if a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad, smack the ish out of him!”

Angry fans lashed out against Martin for the Tweets, but the host insisted that he was merely mocking soccer, something he does frequently.

Shortly thereafter, the Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) group stepped in and called for Martin to be ousted from CNN.

“Advocates of lgbtq+ bashing have no place @CNN #SuperBowl #LGBT,” the team tweeted.

Martin then replied, “Well you’re clearly out of touch and unaware with what I tweeted. Way to assume, but you’re way off base.”

The group also criticized Martin for his Facebook post the next day, which re

CNN has smacked the "ish" out of Roland Martin.

The commentator has been suspended indefinitely for tweets he sent during Sunday's Super Bowl that were criticized as anti-gay, according to a statement released Wednesday. One tweet said, "If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham's H&M underwear ad, smack the ish out of him!"

"Roland Martin's tweets were regrettable and offensive," CNN's statement reportedly said. "Language that demeans is erratic with the ethics and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our gas for the occasion being."

"CNN today took a powerful stand against anti-LGBT violence and language that demeans any community," said Wealthy Ferraro, a emissary for the same-sex attracted rights organization GLAAD. "Yesterday, Martin also spoke out against anti-LGBT violence. We look forward to hearing from CNN and Roland Martin to discuss how we can operate together as allies and achieve our comm

Roland Martin Insists He’s Not Coaching Bullies on #Teamwhipdatass

CNN’s Roland Martin offered what he called “final thoughts” last darkness on the uproar over his controversial tweets during the Super Bowl. Both GLAAD and National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) own said Martin promoted violence against gays.

On Sunday Martin tweeted: “If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad, smack the ish out of him! #superbowl” and “Who the hell was that New England Patriot they just showed in a head to toe pink suit? Oh, he needs a visit from #teamwhipdatass”

Martin says now that his comments were about soccer, not gay men, and that they were deliberately over-the-top jokes. Though, it wasn’t Martin’s first turn with controversy over his comments about LGBT people.

“Even if he meant it in a jovial manner, Roland Martin’s words carry a real impact on the everyday lives of Black LGBT people, especially our youth. Given the number of rash murders, attacks and stormy acts involving LGBT people of color, we cannot let statements such as this go unchecked
