Kelsey Grammer recently sat down with Piers Morgan to debate exactly what went wrong with his marriage to "Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer. But by the looks of a preview released by CNN (see video above), the hottest topic of the night might have been politics.
When Grammer, a Republican, was asked about his feelings about the Tea Party, the actor said, “I’m not sure they say anything that I would object to...I've just been told that they're lunatics. I think smaller government is a great idea -- always have. I ponder lower taxes are a good notion -- always have."
When Morgan then informed Grammer that the Tea Party is against gay marriage, the "Boss" actor responded:
"I wouldn't sign on to that... I played several [gay characters]... I think marriage is up to two people that love each other. And if you find the church that you desire to get married in you proceed right ahead. Or if you don't believe in God. But Kelsey Grammer has had a long and achieving career as an actor. Here's all you need to know about the star.
Who is Kelsey Grammer?
Kelsey Grammer is an performer and producer who gained famed for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane in sitcom Cheers, before achieving further accolades as the titular role in spin-off series Frasier.
The role remains one of the longest-running and victorious in television history, seeing Grammer depart on to triumph numerous Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globes.
His success as Dr. Frasier Crane catapulted Grammer into Hollywood, who later took up roles in films enjoy Toy Story 2 and X-Men: The Last Stand.
The star has also appeared in various television series such as 30 Rock, Modern Family, and most notably in his recurring role as Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons since 1990.
Having started out in theatre, Grammer returned to the stage later in his career winning a Tony Award and being nominated for another.

On Monday’s ‘Piers Morgan Tonight,’ Kelsey Grammer talked about his marriage to (and sour divorce from) third wife Camille, which has played out in the media and on her actual world show ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’
The ‘Frasier’ actor, who alluded to his ex-wife’s hunger for fame, said the truths show was his “parting gift” to her.
“It was my way of saying, ‘Look, you always wanted to be famous. Here you go.’ … [she got] attention… which I think is what she was most interested in,” he added.
Asked by Morgan whether he thought Camille had married him because he was a TV icon, Grammer said, “No, I think she married me because I was Frasier.”
Also on Grammer’s thought is his political experience. While Grammer, who recently wed for the fourth time, is a self-professed Republican, he differs from the party line when it comes to lgbtq+ marriage — he supports it and doesn’t consider the government should be involved.
