Keith Urban Admits Men Only Come to His Shows for One Reason

Keith Urban was a guest on the WTF With Marc Maron podcast, where he revealed a reality about his concerts that nobody other than Urban himself can identify.

The "Messed Up as Me" singer was referring to when he looks at the crowd from the stage and sees guys at his shows.

Urban, a veteran in the game, can recognize a few things about a crowd just from playing for so many. When asked what his audience at shows is like, Urban said his audience has "always been a lot of girls. If there's guys in the audience, I think almost all of them are guitar players."

The "Somebody Like You" singer chuckled as he said that.

Urban continued, "I name them the reluctant boyfriends. I notice them out in the crowd. I look out in the arena and see all these guys with their arms folded."

Urban then imitated what the men at his shows say to themselves: "'Ughh, she seems happy. I'm gonna get laid tonight at least, thank God. I just gotta put up with this guy for the next two hours.'"

Hearing Urban go into his American accent is worth the pay attention in itself.

I agree that Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Huge N Rich, etc have a alternative sound then the classic country but its all the 5 chord land that we love.

In that said, I don't notice how you can call Kenny Chesney poppy. He IS the country scene right now.

Also, Brad Paisley is brilliant with the guitar, Tim McGraw is just impossible in concert, and Dierks Bentley and Jack Ingram realize how to rock the house.

(i'm just looking for a healthy argument)

I'm more than willing to engage in some friendly debate. As for current country performers keeping the genre alive...err. Merle Haggard is still alive right? No seriously though, there is nobody who gets airplay that isn't pop that I am aware of. (To be fair, I simply don't tune in to modern region music, but every time I catch some in a store or skipping around the radio, it is painfully bad to me, and has petty in common with the feel, mind and spirit of country music) But one e

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Marriage Is a Sham

Don't be fooled by Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's seemingly picture-perfect marriage. The couple is actually fame-hungry and mean, according to the country singer's former friend and collaborator, Vernon Rust.

Life & Way took a look inside Vernon's new tell-all book, in which he claims the Oscar-winning actress and crooner are all about publicity. Nicole and Keith would, "attend a 'pond draining' if a red carpet and a photographer were gonna show up," he writes.

Referring to Nicole, 50, as "what's her face" and "Tom Cruise's ex-problem" throughout the book, Vernon claims, "Those two ninnies wouldn't know benevolence or spirituality if it came up and bit 'em in the ass."

However, Nicole, who shares daughters Sunday, 9, and Faith, 6, with Keith, 49, defended their 11-year marriage. In a recent interview with Vogue, she credited Keith for helping her cope with the death of her father in 2014.

Award winning actress Nicole Kidman and country superstar Keith Urban are easily one of Hollywood's most enduring power couples. Since their Down Under wedding in Sydney in 2006, the two have been virtually inseparable on red carpets, in interviews, and even on the thoroughfare during Urban's tour dates. Their union came five years after Kidman and her then-husband Tom Cruise announced their split in 2001, and marriage happened quickly after Kidman and Urban began dating.

Despite now being happily married for over a decade and sharing two children, this adorable, seemingly normal duo has inevitably faced their fair share of headline-making scandals over the years. It is, after all, just part of what being a celeb couple is all about these days. Think you perceive everything about their whirlwind romance turned love for the ages? Well, believe again. There are a lot of odd things most people just don't know.

Kidman waited four months for Urban to call

Although the couple first met at the G'Day USA Gala in January 2005, their courtship wasn't exactly love at first sight — at least according to Kidman, anyway.
