He's one of the most popular stars from Netflix's sitcom Fuller House.
And on Friday, Juan Pablo Di Pace spoke candidly to News Corp Australia about why he decided to be 'completely honest' and talk publicly about being gay.
The 39-year-old, who opened up to students of the Combined World College in the Netherlands in March, revealed he was bullied for his sexuality while growing up.

'I spent years perfecting myself to become a very convincing little star ...I was desperate to fit in,' Juan said in his speech, which was uploaded to YouTube.
'Acceptance was my fuel, and when that is the case, like an addict, you accomplish whatever it takes to get a fix,' he said. 'I figured, if I changed my f**king self, I could be in.'
Juan confessed when given the opportunity to speak, he didn't want to waste the opportunity by talking about his career and instead chose 'to be honest'.

The Fuller House star, 39, explained to the audience that someone called him an anti-gay slur when he was a child, which made him struggle with his identity and search for acceptance for years.
“I hated that synonyms so much that I spent years perfecting myself to grow a very convincing little actor,” he said during his speech, which was uploaded to YouTube on June 29. “I was desperate to fit in. I wanted to know what it was like to be part of life, or if there were other people out there like me.”
But it wasn’t until Di Pace was “offered the role of a lifetime,” playing Jesus Christ in the 2015 NBC miniseries A.D. The Bible Continues, that he finally recognized his true self.

It's been quite a journey for Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The Fuller House actor recently opened up about his sexuality, revealing that he was gay during a TEDx Talk in March titled "The Story of Your Life."
"I came out 20 years ago," the Argentinian actor told ET's Nischelle Turner during an intimate sit-down, but adding that "the people that matter in my life knew a long time ago."
However, at the beginning of the year, Di Pace was asked to utter to the students of United World College and decided it was moment to share his story with the world.
"When you are asked by a group of teenagers, that they want you to speak to them, I felt it was my duty to be honest and vulnerable," he expressed. But as an up-and-coming thespian, he faced some uncertainty about coming out.
"I was told don’t do it. We don’t wanna know," he admitted. "And I had to put that aside and just thoughtful of live. Weirdly, you learn to compartmentalize your life. You know, this part I will chat about, this part I won't. I never lied about anything because I couldn’t live with mys
