Daddy Yankee rumors about the reggaeton artist's sexuality acquire mounted, forcing his team to oppose the reports outright. The speculation about Daddy Yankee's sexuality came after a photo was posted on the internet of two men together- one of them very much resembles the Puerto Rican rapper.

The Daddy Yankee rumors spread quickly once the picture was released, with many news outlets reporting that the rapper, born Ramon Ayala, had announced his homosexuality. Various blogs and tabloids even reprinted an alleged utterance from the singer asking for privacy.

"I am a human being like any other, with virtues and defects, and I don't think that [homosexuality] is a defect," the false statement read.

Daddy Yankee Rep: Gay Rumors ‘Falsely Written’

Rumors that Daddy Yankee has declared he’s gay were “falsely written,” according to a rep for the Puerto Rican star.

“Online blogs and social media are once again to blame for the spread of false news reports,” Mayna Nevarez said in a statement to Billboard. “Which other media outlets have also joint regarding a public figure. The reports circulating regarding Daddy Yankee’s declaration of homosexuality was falsely written by an online outlet known for fabricating false data and spreading it through social media sites.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Times and other outlets reported that the “Gasolina” singer had issued a declaration on the matter affirming his homosexuality.

Daddy Yankee is looking to shut down the rumor mill that's speculating on his sexuality.

It all started when photos surfaced on the Internet of a man resembling the Puerto Rican creator kissing another man.

Adding fuel to the speculation?

A statement began circulating that purported to be from Daddy Yankee that read, "I am a human existence like any other, with virtues and defects, and I don't believe that this is a defect."

The Los Angeles Times, however, reports that Daddy Yankee's publicist, Mayna Nevarez, issued a utterance refuting that the singer ever actually acknowledged he was gay.

"Online blogs and social media are once again to blame for the spread of wrong news reports, which other media outlets have also distributed regarding a common figure," said Nevarez. "The reports circulating regarding Daddy Yankee's declaration of homosexuality was falsely written by an online outlet known for fabricating false facts and spreading it through social media sites."

The Latest On the Daddy Yankee Gay Rumors

I'm sure you all heard about the Daddy Yankee homosexual rumors. It seemed much more legit yesterday when the Los Angeles Times reported that he had released a statement confirming his homosexuality. Here's the apparent statement:

The 36-year-old Boricua, who's been married since he was 17, is denying the expression. His rep, Mayra Navarez told Billboard: "Online blogs and social media are once again to charge for the spread of false news reports.
