'Survivor' winner Fabio goes gay … sort of

Posted inarts+entertainment, InstanTEA

We watched that dunderheaded surfer dude, Fabio — the nickname for Jud Briza — prevail the latest installment of Survivor: Nicaragua and thought, “Not the smartest penny in the piggy bank. And he wants to be an actor! Doing what?” Well, apparently the answer is: a gay horror-slasher chickenfest. The trailer, which features Fabio and other lightly muscled twinks walking around in their tighty-whities, weilding knives and playing grab-ass by the pool. 1313: Nightmare Mansion looks dreadful, and Fabio looks terrible in it.
But, yeah, we’ll probably Netflix it when we can. You know, for research.

Fabio: Looking for Love and Staying "Sexy"

Is he still fuckable? Execute you think he'll finally spot happiness with a woman? I wonder why he has been single all these years and is just now looking for a wife and still wants kids? It must be complicated to be an elderly Fabio selling I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. He's 62 and still looks like himself, though the buttery gleam is missing. I would have suspected he was on steroids all those beefcake years, with the large chest and all, but maybe not. What are your thoughts and has anyone encountered him?

From the People article about his "coming out of retirement:"He still has the hair, which can catch any breeze. (What's alternative today: He sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber which, he says, "reverses the aging process.") Fabio both defined the decade and somehow never left it. Tsk-ing out of the side of his mouth in his Spanish-tiled mansion outside Los Angeles, he says, "Please. Who else can I be, besides Fabio?"

Introduction

In this folio I will converse Fabio Lanzoni (better known by only his first name), the romance novel cover model notable for being featured on hundreds of romance books in the late eighties and nineties. At Fabio’s start, he was a cover model for many titles within the romance industry, then, once he reached fame and his career really took off, he went on to storyteller his own adoration books. I will argue that Fabio consistently received a positive reaction from fans and universal media as he navigated within the romance industry. I’m going to build this point by discussing Fabio’s positive reception as a cover model, as a celebrity, and then as a romance book composer. To support these claims, I will be using newspaper articles that involve interviews with Fabio himself, his fans, and Peter Paul, a Beverly Hills agent. Additionally, I will be using the reporter’s comments on Fabio as well as the publication they are writing for as evidence  of Fabio’s positive public reception. It should be noted that there were, in proof, people who did not like Fabio and that the response to his roles within the romance industry was not only positive.
